Unirii View, the tallest modern building in the centre of Bucharest, takes shape

Unirii View, a project which will be the tallest modern office building in downtown Bucharest, is taking shape. Construction works are advancing in a sustained rhythm and the building will dominate the outline of the ultra-central area of Bucharest, reaching the 11th floor and a height of 45 meters at the beginning of next month.

Nearly 200 people work daily on the Unirii View construction site, whose construction started in October 2016. The general contractor of the project is Bog’Art, one of the biggest local construction companies.

The building is located on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard and will have 18 floors, including a ground floor, 17 office floors plus a mechanical last floor and generous underground parking, divided into three levels. With a height that will reach 73 meters, Unirii View will also be the most visible building in downtown Bucharest.

Unirii View, a project developed by the Belgian investor Yves Weerts after an investment of approximately euros 33 million, will have a total gross leasable area of 17,500 sqm, the project is due to be delivered in the summer of 2018.

Moreover, due to its ultra-central location, working in Unirii View will mean less time spent to and from the office, by 1 hour daily, which translates into a bigger productivity and a better quality of live overall,” says Yves Weerts, the Unirii View investor.

Approximately 25 percent of the building’s surface (4,000 sqm) was already pre-leased by the software services and solutions provider NTT Data Romania, which will move in 2018 its Bucharest headquarter in Unirii area, this being the first major IT&C company that chooses to rent offices in a central area of Bucharest.

With a look and feel that resemblance the classic properties from New York, Unirii View will address the tenants needs in search of a good visibility, in accordance with the efficiency and corporative responsibility standards. At the same time, a large variety of restaurants and service spaces are in the area, with over 350 facilities in walking distance from Unirii View, including two commercial centres and the entire legal district of Bucharest.

The investor behind Unirii View is Yves Weerts, a Belgian national and real estate professional, with several other real estate investments undertook in Romania, among the development and successful sale of Deva Logistics Park to CTP investment fund.

The team behind Unirii View is completed by Westfourth Architecture in cooperation with DMA Architecture & Interior Design are bringing the architecture vision and design. Speedwell Real Estate Development, through Didier Balcaen, is handling the development process and the project management of the building, while Griffes, represented by Andreea Paun, is in charge with leasing strategy and commercial management.
