Unirii View, the tallest modern office building in downtown Bucharest, has been completed, following an investment of approximately EUR 33 million. The first companies that took up office space in the project already started to relocate their headquarters, whilst most others will follow in the immediate period.

Unirii View is located on Corneliu Coposu Boulevard, rising 73 meters above the ground level, with 19 upper floors plus a generous parking divided on three underground levels.

The property has a leasable area of approximately 17,300 square meters that is over 80 percent pre-leased. Among the most important companies that established their headquarters in the new landmark building in downtown Bucharest are NTT Data Romania, Spaces, H&M Romania, Pernod Ricard Romania and Red Bull Romania.

”We have developed a destination project for companies that aspired to work in the most central part of the city. Unirii View is not only the most visible building in the area but also a project with excellent technical specifications and a special architecture for Bucharest, with an art deco touch that makes it outstanding amongst other buildings in the glass and steel era. Unirii View represents the first step of our presence in Romania and demonstrates that our group’s and Romania’s potential create and excellent ground for future investments” stated Yves Weerts, chairman of Weerts Group, the investor behind Unirii View.

Yves Weerts is a Belgian entrepreneur with a track record on the Romanian real estate market through several investments, such as the development and successful sale of Deva Logistic Park to CTP investment fund.

”We are in very advanced negotiations with several companies and I estimate that the leasing process will soon be completed. We have achieved our goal of providing companies with a state of the art office building, where businesses can grow in a friendly environment for the employees. At the same time, we shaped a new office destination on the Bucharest market, Unirii View being thus a successful story in all respects”, stated Andreea Paun, managing partner of the real estate consultant Griffes, who was responsible for the commercial strategy, including office leasing and marketing, on an end-to-end basis.

The construction process was coordinated by Speedwell and executed as general constructor by Bog’Art, the biggest Romanian local construction company, while Westfourth Architecture, in cooperation with DMA Architecture & Interior Design, brought the architecture vision and design.

Unirii View obtained the green certification BREEAM, with Excellent rating, under the most recent standards, published in 2016.
