Located in the Furnica district, close to Peles Castle, Villa "Carola" in Sinaia is a living history lesson. Built in the style specific to the resort, inspired by the architecture of Peles, the villa was the site of famous love stories and hosted world celebrities.

In charge of managing the first hotel in Sinaia, Ungarth would later build his own business, building the Villa "Carola" in 1896.
Luxury and comfort were the key words for all those who retired to Villa Carola, the Austrian knowing how to make each stay as pleasant as possible.
Thus, the garden of the villa was maintained by a gardener, there was a carriage of the boarding house that allowed visitors to walk to the desired locations, and a horse was made available to those who wanted to learn to ride. He also built a restaurant in the courtyard of the villa, the current "Select".
The small hotel is named after Jóseph Ungarth's daughter, Carola, who would become Constantin Noica's mother-in-law years later. Philosopher married Wendy Muston, daughter of Walter and Carola Muston, in 1934.
Among the guests received over time was conductor and violinist Yehudi Menuhin. At the age of 11, he spent two months here, during which he attended Vila Luminiş, for the violin lessons offered by George Enescu.
The phenomenon makes Sinaia the city with the most historical monuments per capita in Romania.
