The Pipera Iancu Nicolae area is very popular with families with school going children. The area is mainly residential and has developed fast because of the proximity of the many private International Schools. Situated at the North part of Bucharest between Bucharest and the ring road (Centura). The Otopeni airport is just 5 minutes away by car.
This area is especially popular because of the vast availability of villas with gardens and gated residential compounds. In the last few years also many luxury apartment projects have been developed and delivered offering an extensive choice of housing.
In the last few years also shopping and dining out possibilities have increased a lot. At the different strip malls (Strip Mall Iancu Nicolae and Pipera Plaza) you will find many international dining options or nice places to have a cup of coffee, breakfast. Popular places are Brasserie41, Sky Bar, Zen Sushi, Starbucks, Aioli, Studio80 and many other places to have a drink and/or bite.
Shopping you will be able to do at the Baneasa Shopping City, which is one of the largest shopping malls of Bucharest, Jolie Villle which is the smaller convenience shopping mall in Iancu Nicolae, The several Lidl, Mega Image and Profi supermarkets.
Recreation is excellent as this area is situated next to the Baneasa Forest which also includes the Baneasa Zoo. Further there are several options for working out with several Worldclass locations of which the Worldclass Atlantis also offers indoor and outdoor swilling pools.
The infrastructure is still under development with the only public transport being the public busses to Bucharest center, Metro Pipera and the Otopeni airport. To have a car is recommended as commuting is mainly done by car via the DN1 or the Bulevard Pipera. During morning and evening rush hours traffic is intense also due to the many private Internationals schools and the dropping off of the children.
